Love Cafe ~ Finished!

I finished Love Cafe earlier this week, and I just love it!  Here it is:

"Love Cafe"
by Soda Pattern Mall
Started:  Sunday June 24th, 2012
Finished:  Monday August 6th, 2012
18 count white Aida cloth
2 strands over 1

Here are some detail shots:

Even though I washed it and ironed it, the creases where the fabric was originally folded won't go away... Does anyone know how to get rid of those?  I'm still very happy with it, though!

  1. It looks awesome! You know, I have had that same problem with creases sometimes. I wonder if soaking it for a while would help?

    1. Thanks so much! I tried soaking it and then ironing it, but did not help... oh well.

  3. It looks lovely!
Not sure how to get rid of the creases though. I usually wash and roll in a towel to dry and then steam iron and the creases seem to be gone. Maybe Sewingseed could be right!

  4. Hi Annie
It's adorable! You have stitched it up so well. Your backstitching is fantastic! I saw your first post about Love Cafe and I loved it so much I followed your link to the site. Now I'm the proud owner of 4 of these very gorgeous charts.

I'm not sure why those creases have not come out in the wash or the iron. I've never had this problem. But you may not have to worry about it too much as when you stretch it for framing they will disappear.

    Take care xo

I am so happy you like these patterns, too! I love them also, and got a few! Thanks so much for the lovely compliments! I really do hope the creases will come out with the stretching... We'll see I guess! ^_^

  5. Just found your blog, love your finish, its very cute...I might have to go pattern shopping, lol! I had the same problem with one of my kits, and the crease did come out when it was stretched to be framed (I got it professionally done). Glad to have found you and your wonderful stitching!

    /hugs,
    Nikki

  6. I... probably shouldn't have looked at Soda patterns. Now I want way too many of them, more than I could ever stitch in a lifetime, lol! Your finish looks so squee-worthy cute, omygosh.

I hope you figured out your crease issue! I've had to wash a few patterns a couple of times to remove wrinkles so g'luck with yours! I think I remember something, somewhere about freezing the stitches but I'm not sure. Sounds weird, haha!

I guess I will wait and see if the creases go away when I frame it...

  7. OMGosh! This is just so adorable.<3 Loved finding you and your very wonderful cross-stitching here in blogger-land. I've always admired those who do this kind of work, though I've never done it myself..I'm so pants when it comes working with thread and needle. ;) Keep up the amazing work, I'll definately be back for more. <3
