FINISHED! "Home of a Needleworker (too)"

Hi!

It has been a few months since my last post... I finished this piece in June of this year, but I completely neglected to put it in my blog.  So here it is now:

"Home of a Needleworker (too)"
by Little House Needleworks
2 over 2 on 28 count Linen with Crescent Colors thread.
Started November 2013
Finished June 2014

I haven't been stitching a lot since June.  I don't know why, I seem to be in a rut...
I am sure I will snap out of it soon, and get back to stitching fun!

Annie ^_^

p.s.  I didn't wash this piece because I was scared the colors would run, since it's hand dyed.  Does anyone know if I can wash this or not?

  1. That's lovely! Well done on a beautiful finish.

Personally I wouldn't wash it unless it's marked or you really feel it needs it. As there are dark colours and reds, which seem to run the most, you may end up with them bleeding into the fabric, especially as it's linen. The best thing to do in future, when you use hand dyed threads is to rinse them in cold water before you start, then you can see if they are likely to run.
